I'm Yu Xie (謝俞). I grew up in China, studied in London, and now live in Toronto. I write and make art in English and Chinese, and try to give shape to things that are hard to name.
Whatever I'm making, I'm interested in the same things: love, how culture shapes the way we feel, and the distance between people. Moving between cultures taught me how to carry a feeling from one language, place or audience to another.
